U2 Can Go

Kuerten, Norman and Co. visited a concert of the successful rock group U2 in Miami.

One of the top attractions during the week at the Ericsson Open for the players was the rock band U2, who began their 2001 tour with two shows in nearby Ft. Lauderdale.

The tickets were hot as many players scrambled to get passes to see the popular Irish band, and among them making appearances at the shows were Patrick Rafter, Gustavo Kuerten, Jan-Michael Gambill and Magnus Norman.

German Rainer Schuettler won a tournament raffle and scored two tickets Saturday evening. And Norman was the beneficiary of Kuerten's kindness, as the Brazilian helped out a ticketless-Norman with one of his extras.

Added Gambill on the shows: "I went to both concerts and I really enjoyed it. What a legendary group. I was in awe both times."
