Arazi posts upset over Norman

On Wednesday, Magnus Norman joined the top seeds falling early at Monte Carlo.
At the Tennis Masters Series Monte Carlo, Morocco's Hicham Arazi upset seeded Swedish No. 3 seed Magnus Norman in straight sets 6-2, 6-4, to advance to the third round.

Posting his first-ever win in five ATP match-ups against the New Balls Please campaign's Norman, Arazi successfully defended a match-total of seven of eight breakpoint opportunities en route to thwarting a second set comeback of the Swede.

Pioline stays on track with title defense

With the victory, Arazi, a first-week quarterfinalist at Doha, moves on in pursuit of a year-best effort.

In the third round, the Moroccan will square off against the defending champion and French No. 14 seed Cedric Pioline who advanced over Australian Andrew Ilie 7-6(2), 6-2.
