STOCKHOLM -- French Open 2000 finalist Magnus Norman of Sweden is still struggling with a hip injury that has kept him out of action for more than six months. "It's so tiring mentally that I'm almost going dumb," he told Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet. The former world No. 2 was forced to pull out of a challenger tournament in Tunisia last week, having completed his first-round game, and has opted not to play in Casablanca in Morocco this week. He hopes to be back in time for the Master Series tournament in Monte Carlo beginning on Monday. Norman, who finished fourth at the Champions Race in 2000, returned to competing on the tennis tour in February after an injury break since April last year and is ranked 142nd. He is guaranteed a place in six tournaments of choice this year, following an ATP rule on injury absences of six months or more. The rule allows the player to qualify for six tournaments on the ranking held right before the injury, which in Norman's case was 35th.
